Conne Ray, Actress/Playwright

Actress Connie Ray studied dance at East Carolina University and earned a MFA in acting from Ohio University. Known for her screen and stage work, she is also a writer who currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York. Connie just finished shooting a live-action film version of Kim Possible, the popular Disney animated series, titled Possibility, and an independent film, American Reject in New Orleans. She has appeared on Broadway in Hands on a Hardbody, Next Fall, and The Heidi Chronicles. Her film credits include Flags of Our Fathers, Thank You for Smoking, About Schmidt, Hope Floats, My Fellow Americans, Ice Princess, and Time Machine, among others. Television credits include The Good Fight, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Louis, Grey’s Anatomy, Blue Bloods, The Big C, Law and Order SVU, among others. Connie wrote the long-running musical comedy Smoke on the Mountain which was named one of the Best Plays of the Year by the New York Times, Time magazine, The Associated Press, and New York Newsday. Smoke on the Mountain and her two sequels are among the most produced plays across America. The pilot of her web series was recently chosen for the Los Angeles Femme International Film Festival.
